Health and Safety Tips to Make your 2021 visit safe and FUN!

In response to COVID-19, we are operating under modified conditions and will have a limited season in 2021. Please review our Calendar for a full list of operating dates and hours this season.

We want you to know the health and safety of our Guests and Team Members is our top priority. We are fully committed to creating the cleanest and safest environment possible for your visit.

The way we will operate this summer is significantly different from what we are all used to as we adapt to the new landscape created by COVID-19. While we are committed to enhanced standards in an effort to keep you as healthy and safe as possible, there remains an inherent and elevated risk of exposure to COVID-19 in any public place and any place where people are present. Please, read this page fully to ensure the best experience possible as you plan your visit and join us.


Working Together to Avoid COVID-19


The health and safety of our Guests and Team Members is our top priority. In these unprecedented times, we have implemented enhanced health and safety measures to help protect everyone. But we can’t do it alone. We are counting on everyone’s efforts to do their part by cooperating with these new measures that are designed to keep every person visiting and/or working at Raging Waters Sacramento healthy and safe.


Guest Responsibilities


  • Wear face covering indoors in public regardless of vaccination status In accordance with guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), to maximize protection from the Delta variant and prevent possibly spreading it to others.
  • Wash hands often with soap and water
  • Avoid touching your face
  • Maintain appropriate (6 ft.) distance from others not in your travel party
  • Here are the specific steps we’re taking in accordance with state and federal guidelines.

Planning a Visit

In order to comply with key health and safety measures surrounding social distancing, and touch-free payment, planning a visit to Raging Waters Sacramento will look different this summer.

  • Reservations are no longer required.

  • In accordance with guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), All persons are required to wear a mask regardless of vacinations to maximize protection from the Delta variant and prevent possibly spreading it to others in an area of substantial or high transmission. Facial coverings are NOT allowed on any attraction or pool and are not necessary while waiting in line at an attraction or walking between attractions.
  • Visitors will find many more new proactive measures in place at Raging Waters Sacramento this summer.


    While we are committed to enhanced standards in an effort to keep you as healthy and safe as possible, there remains an inherent and elevated risk of exposure to COVID-19 in any public place and any place where people are present. People who do not show symptoms can still spread COVID-19. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, senior citizens and persons with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable and at higher risk for severe illness. Guests should familiarize themselves with guidance from theCenters for Disease Control & Preventionand evaluate their risk in determining whether they should attend our facilities. If you or a family member are ill or think that you may be getting ill, please postpone your visit until you are well.

    By visiting our facility, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.

    Fully vaccinated Team Members and Guests are no longer required to wear masks outdoors. Masks are required indoors regardless of vaccination status in areas such as restrooms, changing rooms, and the gift shop. Facial coverings are NOT allowed at any attraction or pool and are not necessary while waiting in line or walking between attractions. Unvaccinated persons are recommended to maintain six feet of distance from people who are not in the same household.

    We will update the above requirements as guidelines change. Please understand in order to open the park and operate, we are required to meet all governing agency requirements. When one entity has more restrictive guidelines, we will default to that requirement.
      While we strive to have every ride open and operational, due to new safety procedures and staff limitations, some ride and attraction availability may be delayed or closed for the season.

    All 2020 Single Day Tickets will be valid the entire 2021 Summer Season. Guests with additional questions about their tickets canContact Usto connect with our Guest Services staff.
    Yes! 2020 Season Passes have been extended until the end of the 2021 Summer Season. You will need to pre-register for your visit date using the Reservation Portal for each visit. We do not expect capacity limits for Season Passholders and request you only reserve your next planned visit.     Our highest priority remains the safety of all of our Team Members and Guests, and we’re closely following the guidelines set forth by the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention , California Department of Public Health, and Sacramento County Public Health Department, along with other government officials and health experts. Some of our evolving sanitation procedures include: Making sure rides and other areas are clean and hygienic Communicating and promoting the need to maintain social distance Promoting regular and thorough hand washing by Team Members, Contractors, and Guests Installing sanitizing hand rub dispensers in prominent places around the park to facilitate hand-washing with amongst Guests Promoting good respiratory hygiene in the workplace Encouraging Guests and Team Members to stay home if you are exhibiting any symptoms of COVID-19, or have been in contact with anyone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19, shown symptoms, or themselves come into contact with an individual at risk or suspected of having contracted COVID-19.
