How do I get directions to Raging Waters?

How much is parking?
Parking is operated by the Cal Expo State Fairgrounds which charges $10 per vehicle per day.

How can I pay for admission, food, and souvenirs?
Raging Waters accepts cash, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express cards at the Entrance Ticket booths, Big Kahuna’s Gift Shop and most permanent food locations. Admission tickets, Season Passes, and Meal Deals are also available to purchase online. Once inside the park, there is an ATM located inside the Big Kahuna’s Gift Shop at the front of the park.

Can I bring in my own food and drinks?
We do allow sealed, plastic water bottles, but no other outside food, beverages, or glass containers are allowed inside the park. Baby formula or special food is also allowed. Raging Waters has a wide selection of food to choose from; such as hamburgers, french fries, pizza, salads, sandwiches, hot dogs, chicken, ice cream, and soft drinks. Food is served throughout the park in food stands.

Do I still have to pay if I'm not going to get in the water?
Yes, an admission ticket is required to enter the park. Don't worry, besides the thrills and chills of the waterslides, there are plenty of less daring attractions including Calypso Cooler Lazy River and Breaker Beach Wave Pool. For guests with special needs, please call us at (916) 924-3747 for information regarding accessibility and accommodations.

Where can I get discount coupons?

When is the best time to visit Raging Waters?
The best times to visit Raging Waters are on weekdays or weekends before 1pm. Our peak times are during holidays and weekends after 1pm.

What if I forget something at home?
If you forget something at home, please check in the Big Kahuna’s Gift Shop features Raging Waters logo merchandise along with beach towels, swim diapers, sunscreen, film, and batteries, just to name a few items.

Are there height requirements for any of the rides?
Yes. Many of our attractions have a height requirement to participate. These requirements can be found on the Attractions page of our website. The requirements are also on signs at the entrance of each ride.

Do you have life jackets and where can I get one?
Free life jackets are available throughout the park at no charge. Life jackets are required for guests under 48" tall to use the wave pool.

Where are the best places to go with a toddler?
Treehouse Reef is our new renovated children’s area, perfect for any children under 48”. Children under 48” can also enjoy our Calypso Cooler Lazy River as well as the Breaker Beach Wave Pool.

Do you allow smoking or alcoholic beverages?
Raging Waters is a smoke free park. We ask that guests wanting to smoke please exit the park. We do not allow alcoholic beverages into the park, however we do serve beer at our Oasis Bar.

What if my party gets separated?
Please designate a specific meeting spot and/or check-in times for your group should anyone get separated. Raging Waters will not page separated parties.

Who should Lost Parents report to?
Should you become separated from your party, make arrangements to meet at Guest Relations, located directly inside the Main Entrance. If you need assistance finding your child, please contact Guest Relations or any Raging Waters Team Member.

What about water safety?
Over 100 Ellis & Associates licensed Lifeguards are trained each year at Raging Waters. These Lifeguards are stationed throughout the park for proper ride dispatching and guest assistance in splashdown pools. They are all here for your safety and service.

Where is the First Aid Station?
The Raging Waters First Aid Station is located next to Shark Attack slide complex and is equipped to handle minor care emergencies.

Is there shade?
There are a multiple areas with shade throughout the park. Lounge chairs are available, on a first come, first serve basis or you may choose to rent a private cabana for the day. It is always a good idea to wear sunscreen at Raging Waters, whether in the shade or direct sun.

What about my eye glasses?
Eye glasses may be worn on some attractions with a head strap only. Please check the safety rating information at the front of each attraction for more information.

Do you have changing facilities?
There are changing and shower facilities inside the park. They are located at the restrooms near the front gate or restrooms next to Breaker Beach Wave Pool.

Can I bring in my own cooler?
Raging Waters Sacramento does not allow hard coolers into the park. You may bring soft foldable coolers into the park.

What about my valuables?
Lockers are located by the wave pool and near the front gate. Raging Waters is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

What if I have a disability?
If you have a disability, please visit our Park Rules & Policies for more information. Or please call us at (916) 924-3747 for information regarding accessibility and accommodations. They will share which rides and attractions are appropriate for your abilities and will help you make the most of your visit.

What is your chaperone policy?
Children under 14 years of age may NOT be at the Park without adult supervision. Regardless, we strongly recommend that minors (under 18) be accompanied by an adult.

How can I make a request for a ticket donation?
Donations are handled monthly, and due to a high volume of donation requests, we may not be able to accommodate to all. To have your donation requests considered, please mail a letter to our donations committee:

General Information


  • Outside food and beverages are not allowed inside the park.
  • Parking is $10 per vehicle.
  • Tubes are provided for all slides that require a tube.
  • Changing facilities and showers are available.
  • Raging Waters is staffed with certified lifeguards and licensed E.M.T.'s.
  • Park operating days, hours and prices are subject to change without notice.

Dress Code and Code of Conduct
The following regulations apply to all for the safety of our guests and employees.

  • Traditional swimwear is required on all attractions. To ensure a safe and enjoyable family environment, provocative or thong swimwear is not allowed.
  • Long pants, jean shorts, cut-offs and swimwear with rivets, belts or metal ornaments are not permitted on any slides.
  • For your safety, t-shirts may not be worn while riding any of the body slides. Diving is not permitted in any pool or attraction at the park.
  • Children in diapers and those being toilet trained must wear approved swim diapers in the water.
  • Guests may not display anything that contains obscene, foul, profane, illegal or unacceptable language, photos, images, symbols, phrases, etc.
  • There is no loitering, unruly behavior, profanity, vandalism or line cutting allowed.
  • Raging Waters is a smoke free park. We ask any guests wanting to smoke to exit the park.
  • For your safety, Raging Waters reserves the right to a physical inspection of any items carried in or out of the park.



Safety - Know Before You Go!

The Park offers a variety of water-based activities for all ages and all swim levels. Height restrictions are posted for all attractions and enforced. We strongly recommend that Minors (under 18) be accompanied by an adult. Park does not assume any responsibility or liability for unattended minors.

Only you know your own, your child's, or anyone you are supervising level of swimming skills. We strongly recommend all Guests under 48" or who are weak or non-swimmers wear Coast Guard approved life jackets where appropriate. In the wave pool, all guests under 48" are REQUIRED to wear a life jacket and be accompanied by an adult. We insist that parents keep their children within arm's reach for their close supervision on all water activities. Raging Waters provides free life jackets for park use at Treehouse Reef and Breaker Beach wave pool. When in doubt, wear a life jacket!

For your safety, t-shirts may not be worn while riding any of the body slides. Proper swimwear must be worn on all rides and attractions.

No street clothes and no bathing attire with buckles, belts, rivets, metal or cut-off jeans permitted. For guest safety, no masks, snorkels or swim fins please. See dress code below.

Diving is not permitted in any pool or attraction at the park.


Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act

On December 19th 2008 the Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act went into effect. This new law requires VGB Compliant Pool Drain Grates. We are VGB Compliant but please note in some applications these grates have a raised profile off the floor as mandated by the Law.

Warning: Raised Grate - All of our raised grates have a red circle highlighting their location. They are designed to be stepped on but in shallow water situations they may pose a tripping hazard.




Community

Raging Waters Sacramento is proud to be a part of the community. As a water park focused on safe, quality family entertainment, we are also dedicated to supporting local organizations in our community and beyond.

Raging Waters Sacramento has a donations program set up to help organizations year round. Please send your organization's donation request AT LEAST TWO MONTHS prior to your event on your organization's letterhead to the address provided below. Be sure to include the event date, contact information, and a mailing address. The donations committee reviews each request the first of every month. After reviewing each request, you will receive notification of the committee's decision.

Weather Policy

Your safety is our top priority at Raging Waters. For that reason rides and attractions may close temporarily during severe weather conditions. Once conditions have improved rides and attractions will reopen. Rain checks will be available upon request to guests exiting the park if ALL attractions have been closed for at least 2 hours. Guest must provide a same-day ticket stub at Guest Relations in order to obtain a rain check. No rain checks are issued for season pass holders.

Rain checks will not be provided if the park closes with 2 hrs of our published closing time. CASH REFUNDS WILL NOT BE GIVEN. Once attractions reopen following a temporary closure due to weather, rain checks will no longer be offered.
